People cannot get past the pumpkin spice flavor. We all have heard of pumpkin pie or pumpkin spice lattes, but there have been some bizarre pumpkin combinations that will blow your mind. Some may sound completely insane, but others actually sound pretty cool. Everything has probably been pumpkin spice-ified and I am here to countdown five of the weirdest pumpkin spice products.
- Extra Pumpkin Spice Gum
You have heard of this gum flavor a lot but it is not really a top pick for gum even in fall. Some are obsessed with the pumpkin spice flavor but wanting to walk around with your breath smelling all pumpkin-spicy is a huge no in my books. Extra does make some well made traditional gum flavors such as spearmint, polar ice and the classic bubble, yet I think they took it a bit too far for fall.
2. Pumpkin Spice Oreos
This was bound to be on the list because you can find anything Oreo in the store. There are new flavors every season and there have been some very unlikely combinations such as Swedish fish, blueberry pie, fruity crisp and cotton candy. Eating pumpkin spice creme in between two chocolate cookies is not on the top of my food bucket list and probably not yours. This is one people will either love or hate, but, we all knew it was coming.
- Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows
Have you ever eaten a delicious pumpkin spice s’more? Neither have I. Picturing a nice fluffy marshmallow devoured by this flavor is a nightmare. You do not put marshmallows and pumpkin spice together, it’s unethical. First pumpkin spice ruins Oreos, now marshmallows– can’t wait to see what is next.
- Pumpkin Spice Latte Peeps
I really want to know how this works! Peeps, in the first place are very sweet and the name itself, “pumpkin spice,” makes my stomach churn. I am sorry my friends, but I just do not think this will work out. If this did work, it would still not sell, who eats peeps? Okay, now who eats Pumpkin Spice Latte Peeps?
- Pumpkin Spice Hummus
Obviously, I would love to just get a big carrot and smother it with pumpkin spice hummus because that sounds great.They inarguably do not mix. This one I did not see coming, and I bet there is plenty more to come. I actually really want to see if someone enjoys Pumpkin Spice Hummus because I don’t get it at all.
These were only 5 out of thousands of different pumpkin spice products and some are not even foods. There is just something about fall that just brings out a very unique, creative side in people. I applaud the creators of these wacky combinations for their efforts, but pumpkin spice cannot go with everything it just can’t.
