A 50th high school reunion is a significant milestone, marking half a century since classmates shared hallways, lessons, and youthful dreams. As alumni gather, they’re met with a mosaic of life stories, woven together by shared memories of their formative years. Time may have changed faces and lives, but the bond forged in adolescence often remains. The event serves as a poignant reminder of life’s fleeting nature, while celebrating the enduring connections and moments that shaped each individual’s journey.
Recently, on September 30th, the Hamden High Class of 1973 held its 50th reunion at the Knights of Columbus in Hamden. There were a total of 215 attendees. The co-chairs of the Reunion Committee, Jane Colwell DuBois and Paul Cohen, did most of the heavy lifting, but able assistance was provided by other committee members Bob Canelli, Donna Cifferelli Wiegert, Debbie Papeika, Lynn Meinsen Cooper, Mary McMahon Lane, and Vanessa Dill Hutchins.
The class of 1973 generously donated $500 to the Hamden Education Foundation. The picture below was taken back in 1973 and the alumni haven’t changed a bit!
