I am Samir, a sophomore at Hamden High School. I am very excited to be the editor-in-chief of The Dial this year. I really enjoy writing, and I got third place at the Hamden Thornton Wilder Short Story competition last year and second place this year! I usually write articles about nearly everything, but I enjoy doing human-interest-heavy features. I would also like to branch out into sports or food writing this year. My favorite movies are Mean Girls, The Devil Wears Prada, and Legally Blonde. My favorite musical artists are Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears. And my favorite color is pink.
