Lookin’ Fab for the Fall: Makeup Trends 2016

By: Karina Figueroa

The change in seasons is a bittersweet time where we have to say goodbye to our swimsuits and pastel clothes and welcome fall. On the bright side, weather getting colder gives you the opportunity to bring out your favorite cozy sweaters, eat everything pumpkin spice, and wear makeup without it melting! Here are a few fall makeup trends for fall 2016.

One of the most important makeup looks for the fall are dark lippies. Maroon colors, deep reds, purples, and even black are a must. A tip would be to keep the lipsticks creamy or glossy. A matte lip with colder weather will for sure dry out your lips and cracked lips are most certainly not a trend.

Glowing refreshed skin is something we all want to achieve and the good news is that you can! A good highlighter will give you glowing, healthy looking skin in combination with a moisturizer to keep your face from getting dry. There is no such thing as too much highlight. Another fall trend is glitter eyeshadow and more earthy tones. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, and Kylie Jenner’s Kyshadows provide the perfect fall hues for you to create the prettiest eyeshadow looks. If you wanted to you could even go all out and create a fall holiday inspired look.

Bold brows are another trend that are taking over social media. Everyone seems to be obsessed with fuller eyebrows. Thick shaped brows help to frame your face and transform your features. In order to achieve the thick look, try to tame your stray hairs and fill them in where areas are sparse. You can use products such as Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade, or Benefit’s multiple brow products.

The final trend for a perfect fall beauty look is self confidence. Remember your beautiful with and without makeup so as long as you enjoy it, experiment with what you like. Makeup is art and your face is the canvas, so make sure to have fun and your makeup will always be in season.
